What’s new at ERC

August Recap

Well, summer is about to wrap up and that means we’ve got a jam-packed month ahead now that folks are back from their summer vacations and festival season is coming to an end.

August was slow, and hot, so we’re looking forward to the cozy cafe vibes that come with the fall season.

We did have a handful of events this August, including the monthly repair cafe, a dance and movement class in the Piazza, some meetings, workshops, and parties, bluegrass, tabled at VegFest, hosted the Palestine Solidarity Market fundraiser, and the Italian Festival.

Huge thank-you to everyone who contributed to the Community Food + Drink Fund this month!! When we announced that it was empty our members came through and filled it back up! Our Community Food + Drink Fund is a gift card that we keep behind the counter and use to buy community members a snack or beverage. Anyone can contribute funds to the gift card, just toss your change in the jar next to the tip jar or let us know how much you want to load onto the card and we can add it to your bill.

We’ve been chipping away at applying for a liquor license so that we can offer a more diverse selection of drinks, especially at our evening events.

And.. we’re soft launching our new consignment area! This is where artists and vintage sellers can display their wares and you’ll be able to find sustainable fashion, home goods, and other small items! It’s still a work in progress but be sure to check it out next time you’re in!
